It’s late summer in the Wabash Valley! Here are some tips from our team to keep your lawn and landscape looking it’s best as we prepare for colder weather.

Attack! Beginning in August attack weeds and active crabgrass with a treatment product. We recommend Bonide weed beater plus
Update! Fall is great time for adding to your landscape. Planting in the fall allows plants to develop strong root systems until winter dormancy and continue in the spring before hot summer weather--plants planted in the fall require considerably less maintenance in their first summer.
Prune! Fall is the best time to prune evergreens-- avoid pruning spring blooming plants until after they bloom in the spring.
Hydrate! Thoroughly water broadleaf evergreens like holly, boxwood, azaleas, rhododendron and needle evergreens as late as possible to help avoid winter burn to foliage
